I went for an appointment as a young pregnant woman was greeted with the rudest non welcoming receptionist! They are the first face you see and to be treated so rudely is really terrible. The lady who served me was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I handed her my insurance card and she threw it back at me when she was done. I do not recommend at all. The nurse I saw was excellent and extremely nice! The doctor was okay I felt like I was being brushed off but it is good to have an advocate with you! I'm just disappointed in going there for my first time and that's how the receptionist treat you! Please fix that as they are the first faces people see when you walk in. If you don't have the compassion or care to be friendly then find another job. The same receptionists also called me later that day and was extremely rude again! I think something needs to be done as that's an extremely rude way to treat the patients. :(

Worst heart care iv ever received in 10 yrs!!! Iv been going here for over a year since I moved here, they offered minimal care with maximum billable visits. In June my diffibulator went off ,I reported it ,left messages for my Doctor and had it checked by the cardiac devise girl,she said she saw nothing and it never went further than her! It went off again in July, again the device girl checked it and found nothing. In October it went off 3x back to back sending me to Vanderbilt in an ambulance . Vanderbilt found i was in AFIB ALL SUMM WE R WHICH SET OFF MY DIFFIBULATOR. They found ,assessed the problem and reset my heart and diffibulator. NOW I had tried to bring this to Tennesee Hearts attention and got no response and a combative attitude from the cardiac device girl whom was all I ever got to see ,except for 6 to 9 month visits with a doctor.i left messages and told the girl at the front desk and never got to see my doctor. I had to have a cardio ablation on Dec 1st at St Thomas Asention, we're i relieved excellent care and follow up. Totally discussed with Tn Heart.it seemed monthly billing was more important than patient care.

I am a retired pharmacist of forty years. I had been going to St Thomas for years but was nearly completely bedridden with no relief. I went to see Dr Torres Acosta and was extremely impressed from the first minute he fixed my a fib and now I'm venturing back outside my home. If I could give a negative star I would. The appointment desk is extremely incompetent. On two separate occasions (back to back appointments) my husband has arrived for his cardiologist appointments only to learn that has appointment was canceled. The appointment desk doesn't know why - just that it was canceled. Front desk needs training. If you need to move an appointment, notify them.

Very impressed, arrived 15 minutes early, processed, and was called in 5 minutes before my appointment time! The nurses and staff were all very friendly and efficient. Dr Vertilio was one of the most personable doctors I have met, and at age 76 I have met a lot of doctors.
