I like Dr Carkner and her PA Jody. I did, however, have a concern regarding my recent heart catherization. I desperately need a knee replacement as I am bone on bone which is very painful. I had to have a catherization done to insure I'm healthy enough to have this done. For some unknown reason the attending Dr who did my procedure elected to not put a stent in. When I went for my follow up appointment with my regular cardio Dr she seemed surprised by this and has scheduled me for another catherization with instructions to put the stent in. Now I will have to wait much longer for the knee replacement as I have to take blood thinners for several months before they approve the surgery. I feel that the first procedure was a complete waste of time and expense and has now caused me even further delay in getting my knee done. I have heart pressure and pain so I don't know why the doctor did this

If I could give negative stars, I would. The lack of care for patients is non-existent. Sending someone to collections for an unpaid bill as low as TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS?? If you pay that, then you're sent to the "board" to see if you're even worth them taking you back as a patient. That can take up to two weeks, then up to two weeks to even get an appointment to step foot in the door. This is their "practice policy" and whomever it was that decided that $25 is worth sending to collections AFTER insurance has paid their portion should be jailed and have THEIR healthcare taken away. The business office's statement was that it is their practice policy to send anyone who owes over $25, in ANY situation, to collections. That "the doctors deserve to get paid" which is true, but they have already been paid thousands by private insurance by a patient who has been in their care almost ten years. It seems like this practice is more interested in making money than actually caring for patients.

I recently spent time at your heart center with an 83 year old friend of mine who received excellent care. Dr Mandawat preformed the heart procedure. Nic and Kevin were a great team to get my friend prepared and ready for the catholic lab. Jessee kept me informed in the waiting area. She is so perfect for this job to keep everyone comfortable. Keep up the good work folks.

Had an amazing time with Dr. Miller. I even messed up and showed up 17 minutes late and they were still able to see me. I wish more things for new patients were digital but otherwise great experience and staff

CHI has been one of the best places for many people I know. They may be busy because they are good but it's worth a little wait.
