About Dr. Allen E. Atchley JR., M.D., FACC, FASE, RPVI
Dr Allen Atchley is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and also holds specialized board certifications in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation, Vascular Ultrasound. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at Duke University Medical Center where he further pursued advanced training with a specialized fellowship in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging. Dr Atchley also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Duke. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis, with high honors and from Tusculum College in Greenville, TN Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology.

After many years of my high blood pressure being out of control,and taking medicines that did not work.. for me.. on a visit to Memorial Hospital Emergency I got an appointment with Dr Ashley.
On my first visit my bp was 215 and I told him I had taken daily meds. He said "but they are the wrong ones". Because he is such a good doctor,.he is very booked. But thankfully he has a group of practitioners who have all been super nice and very helpful to my situation. Thankfully no more ER visits since I have been a patient.
