In my opinion he is arrogant, conceited, does not listen, and either doesn't care about drug interactions or side effects or just doesn't know anything about them. And most of the time he pushes you off on his NP's whose pt. visit summaries are incredibly incccurate. Wish I had never been his patient,wasted 2 years, 2 procedures, and only got worse.
Doctor? What a joke. He told my mother to "push the plate and lose weight." The very next day, she was in ER at Bristol Regional where she spent a week before they transferred her to Select Specialty on the 5th floor. Thank God for caring nurses and professionals who want the patient to be well. She lost weight alright. They removed 81 pounds of fluid from her body in 5 weeks. If Pierre Istfan is the best we have, go somewhere else! He's not a doctor.
My father is a patient of Dr. Istfan Pierre, he was there to see him last Thursday 4/23/15 due to high cardiac enzymes, this is due from severe coughing attacks to the point that he was having trouble breathing and you could hear loud rasping in his chest. This so called Dr. did not even bother to examine my father, he was in pain and suffering, unable to breath, unable to sleep, didn't listen to his chest, nothing!! He was sent home, on Friday we went to his regular MD, well guess what he has pneumonia and so much fluid in his upper body and back he was drowning, they put him in Bristol Hospital, where he is receiving great care. This Dr. Istfan Pierre took an oath to help the sick and infirmed, he neglected my Father and could have caused his death. I am very grateful to his regular MD who saw that Dad was in distress and put him in the hospital, and is doing much, much better. Regards Sheila Sargent Luper
Doctor Istfan is a great doctor. He tells you like it is and he is all business. Very professional. If you listen he will let you know everything you need to know and what to do or not do. I trust him 1000+%. We are very lucky to have Dr. Istfan in the Bristol area. Sincerely, Susan Dillon
Dr. Istfan is a caring and compassionate man who is exceptionally bright. He is both well educated and able to explain the information in a way that everyone can understand. We are so lucky to have a physician of his caliber practice in our area. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs a cardiologist.
