Sanford Heart Hospital

Worst place. Rude people. Awful doctors. I hope if you have to go it's your last resort. I rather suffer than give them the time a day. Wish I could give a zero star rating. Twice I seen two different cardiologist both wast of time. "Your to young" is there famous line all while I got proof in hand from the best hospital in the USA. I will continue the 3 hour drive to them instead of trying to be closer to home then to ever set foot in a Stanford hospital dump again. Worthless.

My mom was here for surgery. A very nice clean hospital. Would have given 5 stars but we showed up after hours one night to drop off items for her and were completely lied to by security staff. 1st off, we weren't even allowed in the building so we had to talk to them on a phone, and they said they would call up to the floor my mom was on and let us know in a few minutes. 10 minutes went by and we heard nothing back so I called the security desk and the officer told me that he called up to the floor and was told by the head nurse that my mom was sleeping and we would have toncome back tomorrow. Well, I was from out of town and was leaving, so I called my mom who had her cell phone with her and she answered right away and told me she had been awake for the last 3 hours. So obviously someone was lying and didn't want to do their job, and the obvious guess would be the security gaurd considering he never even called us back in the main lobby to let us know, and just left us sitting out there. So I got ahold of his manager and was finally let up. Other than that and 1 rude nurse who couldn't and refused to explain things to me regarding my moms care, because she straight out said "I'm not here for you, I'm here for your mother" everything was great. That nurse was on a night shift where they don't typically have visitors and I can see why she worked that shift. Because if she worked during the day when people were around, she would need to change her 'bed-side manner'. I let it go at the time and didn't cause a scene since my my was just out of surgery and it was a hospital after all. But the over-all care and surgery went great and my mom was discharged after a a fairly big operation in just 3 or 4 days. The day of the surgery the doctors and nurses and rest of the staff were so accommodating, putting me and my siblings up in a private room and making sure we were comfortable. Also, updating us along the way every so often in the processof the surgery and also with text kessages as when she was moving throughout the hospital from one area to another.

A huge thank you to the Sanford Hospital for their care this last week with my heart problems! From the emergency room till checkout my experiences with staff and Drs. was super! My care was exceptional and treatment along with placing stents in two arteries was as professional as I've ever had or seen! Their coronary care unit is the best and I'd like to thank each and everyone of them for their professionalism and dedication! They're the best and I praise them for their efforts!

The screeners, when you walk in the front door to see your loved one ....so unkind and not polite at all. Really socked me and my family, they are paid and still show no compassion to there father who had brain surgery and we can inky see him when awake so rush up when can. No signs for there policies posted however expect you to know. Would appreciate kindness when walk into a hospital understanding and love. Not what are you doing ,how old is your son , where us your ID? Plus had a mask on hard to hear her. Wow hi, I'm unaware of this ...I'm willing to do what is needed. Super disappointed

Simply the best staff I have ever seen. I feel so much better after my treatment here. Doctor Gangway was awesome and my nursing staff was great. I can play my drums again.
