About Dr. Jose Teixeira, M.D., FACC
Dr. Teixeira is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He received his medical degree at the New University of Lisbon Medical School and graduated first in his class of 450. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Portugal and Brooklyn. He also completed his Cardiology and Electrophysiology Fellowships at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Deborah Heart & Lung Center. Dr. Teixeira decided to pursue his cardiology career to help his mother who had cardiac issues. He is interested in lifestyle medicine and preventing chronic diseases before they cause trouble. In his free time he enjoys swimming, snorkeling, and running.
