We were sent to collections without receiving one single phone call, nor invoice, nor statement. We reached out to BHS financial assistance to set up payments and were told Collections cannot be taken back (this is not true).
You never forget how an organization/business makes you feel - we feel betrayed and disgusted by BHS and their lack of compassion for a unique international emergency situation that needed some empathy, understanding, and compromise. It didn't need to end this way.

I was seen in the ER on Easter Sunday and had the absolute best experience ever! (Considering) The two nurses that admitted me were amazing! I was very dizzy and had pain, don't remember much of what we discussed, however, the ER Dr, too was wonderful! They immediately put in an IV, wonderfully may I add, and I received pain meds immediately. Lab came and drew my blood, exceptionally well and with a smile! Everyone was so nice and supportive offering and asking what "I" needed to be comfortable with so much Vincent in such a caring matter... very impressed and highly recommended!!

After getting a collections bill I called the Health system, come to find out an injury that I had sustained at work was not covered by workman's compensation and the address on file was not updated before I left the hospital. No emails were sent, nor a phone call. Unsure who's fault it really is but I suggest contacting the patient to make sure they are aware of a fee would be highly appreciated and beneficial to both parties.

My husband and I brought My 10 month old here on Sunday morning for a high fever. I am a nurse and I told the ER Doctor I suspected an ear infection. The doctor checked his ears and said they looked great. Ran a pathogen panel-negative. Doctor said baby needed an x ray despite the panel being negative. I asked the nurse how my baby's lungs sounded. She said "good" even though I knew she hadn't even listened to him. X-ray said nothing. Doctor now wants a UA. They straight cath my baby and got no urine out. Bladder scanned him to find he has a full bladder, which means the catheter insertion was done wrong. We were then given some ibuprofen and sent home. We obviously knew there was something still wrong with my baby despite all of the "tests" being negative. Drove all the way back to my home in Sturgis and took him to Sturgis hospital. It took two seconds for them to determine he had a bilateral ear infection. I am pissed that I now have a giant bill looming over me due to incompetent staff. If I could give negative stars I would.

Just don't go here. If you can go somewhere that's a specialist or just go to Sioux Falls. Twice burned I won't go here anymore.
