I am so grateful for Carey and her team. I had an urgent issue and I called the office, left a message, and had a telemedicine appointment set up within two hours. The team is compassionate and they practice good ol' fashion medicine that emphasizes the patient relationship. You don't see that very much anymore and certainly not in the medical field. I was taken care of and provided the very best and the most up to date treatment for my care. Carey is very thorough, she is up to date on the latest data/research and treatment options, and takes the time to personalize her treatment plans to your needs. I am so thankful for Whole Heart Family Medicine!!

Tara Hughes and the staff we have interacted with has been a very positive experience. We never feel rushed and feel our concerns are always met. They do more labs than many other primary providers to detect health problems before they lead to more serious issues. Insurance covers all costs. My daughter, husband, and I all go to this practice. My daughter sees Carey and is very impressed with her. We love that there are such caring practitioners in the Charleston area and highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice, and Tara Hughes. I am so thankful I found this place. I have been going there, for three years. This past year has been medically challenging. Tara has been there every step of the way. Treating me with empathy, compassion and knowledge. Every time I see a specialist, I always see Tara after to make sure she agrees with their treatment and to give other suggestions as well. I don't feel like just another patient, I feel like a person and that she truly knows me. I don't know how I would have got through this past year without her help. I am so thankful to have her as my PCP.

Carey McNamara has set up a healthcare model at Whole Heart Family Medicine that I wish all primary care clinicians would follow. She is a wonderful provider who cares deeply about the health and well being of her patients and their families. She has taken time to get to the root of problems for me that other providers have brushed off and I am so grateful for that. She is a wealth of knowledge and continually learning and sharing the most up-to-date information with all of her patients and makes this information easily and readily available on the website. Carey is the most attentive primary care provider I have ever experienced. When I have an appointment with Carey, I feel as if I'm her only patient, because she listens with the intent of understanding. Carey is not only an excellent provider, she is a good person.
