The behavioral health unit holds everyone. Grand strand stated that she was not a danger. She sat in the ER for 2 days and everyone said "as soon as the psychiatrist comes you can go home." They told the ER doctors that the BHU doctor would evaluate her instead so it could be done faster. Next thing you know, she's being told that she has to stay for days because they give everyone meds and if you are good and take them you can get out sooner. So there is no patient care. There is no evaluation. They have people on meds that they don't need. How can this information be given before an evaluation? It's a for profit facility making their profit off people who should go home and get the support they need with their families and regular doctors- that's not profitable. I have evidence that the ER staff found no danger. Please contact me if you were in this facility. Was anybody discharged immediately after evaluation? Were you told you had to stay when you asked to leave? I would like to see how many people were told to shut up and take their meds in order to get out. I have a few others I found already. People saying they were promised discharge and then they just changed their mind without any reason. People who didn't get any due process. People how were told they couldn't leave when they could have. This is not ok. If someone comes in there and has no signs of being a danger to anyone- they should be permitted to go home. You can't hold people for profit.

The entire staff were extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and thorough. Through the entire time, everything was clearly explained. They were truly concerned for my care and well being. I can highly recommend them to anyone because I know you will be in good hands.

This appointment was for my husband. He is battling a rare cancer and the doctors needed a CT before the weekend. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. The registration was ready when we got there and just had to sign. We were in and out in no time, which was great because we live an hour away.

Terrible staff at that behavioral health unit they don't record any conversations and take their rude employees versions over anybody else for something that's stealing and behavioral health and should care about patients. They are the most rudest people you could ever meet in this world I couldn't get referrals for five days. I couldn't get a responding message for over four days Even talking to management. I was not allowed to finish a sentence. She said either I can do something for you. I'm hanging up. They don't care what a terrible job they do. They'd rather get you off the phone and not have to deal with you. Do not take anyone you love there. You will not get help for what you Need.

The procedure went fine. The issue I had was I was sent to the wrong medical center, per the on line pre-Registration. I went an hour to North Grandstrand at 809 82nd and was supposed to go to 4050 US 17, which is less than a half hour. I have attached a copy.
