Patient
Front desk staff, and nurse were great. Outside of that, I've been suffering for 8 months with an unknown issue. I'm trying to figure it out. I finally get a cardiologist, have to go out of town 2 hours to see her. I google her before the appointment and I think she looks nice. Dr. Pinto. WOW! She was pompous and rude. She wasnt obnoxious about it at first, but I made the grave mistake of saying that in my personal experience, doctors don't give credit to diet changes helping symptoms but I feel like it's helped me. And she squints at me and starts sarcastically asking "Like who? What doctors?" And rolling her head in a sarcastic way, as if to say "That's not even close to true. Point them out to me." And I told her my rheumatologist is like that. Then she goes on to explain why doctors aren't like that, and tells me what my rheumatologist really meant. Because apparently I'm too stupid to know on my own. Even though i was there and I can sense non-verbal communication like any normal adult. But okay. Moving right along, she tells me we're gonna do two tests, doesn't explain why, and shoos me out the door. Like she had her hand at my back gesturing me away. I tried to turn back to tell her i had questions. I said "Will I see you again?" And she goes "no. You'll have the echo, the heart monitor, and I'll send you a message on MyChart." And she walked off. This all happened in a matter of 4 minutes? I walked up to the check out counter thinking "what the hell just happened?" I realize lots of people need help. And that doctors are on a time crunch. But good god. She was so rude! I feel like I drove 2 hours and paid money just to be told I'm wrong and got NO answers as to what's going on with me. She even at one point said I could have something called "dysautonomia" and literally said nothing else about that. Not what it is. Not what can be done about it. What my future quality of life is going to look like if have it. I am so crushed. I feel tossed aside. I will go out of my way to recommend people not see Dr. Pinto. Poor woman's lost a touch of humanity.
