Upstate Vet Emergency & Specialty Care - Greenville

Incredible place, incredible doctors and surgeons, but it is not fast at all when you visit so be prepared to be there for a while. I don't say that negatively at all, just that it was a LONG time before an actual vet saw my pet even though my home vet told me to rush up there - to that end, don't expect it to be a "quick" visit, but it will be a good one. Care was excellent, after visit instructions were excellent, and the communication post-surgery/in recovery was about a 7/10. I personally would have liked a few more updates (since you can't see them after the surgery) but the essentials did make their way to me. One note, take a jacket. Their exam rooms are very cool, and I'm a very hot person and was pretty chilly.

Wow. Upstate was excellent. We traveled an hour and a half from Asheville because their surgeons were the only ones available that day to see us for an emergent feline urethral blockage. They were transparent with pricing and let us split up the cost however we needed to make it work. There was always someone to answer our phone calls and questions promptly - and even a line to text for updates which was awesome with us being a hour and a half away overnight. The facility was beautiful, the staff were amazing. Discharge paperwork was very detailed in explaining aftercare and what to expect in the weeks following surgery.

Thanksgiving Day our dog became ill out of nowhere. We wound up taking her to VEG and were greeted with a smiling, warm & caring team of professionals. Our dog doesn't take too well to others but she and nurse Nola became instant buddies. We knew our girl was in good hands. They were informative & allowed us to take part in deciding on a final treatment plan. Thank you VEG staff for working on a holiday & leaving your families to take care of ours!

Upstate and all of their staff is amazing! We had to come here Monday through Friday for 4 weeks while our dog completed radiation treatment. It was hard on all of us but everyone here made it so much easier. They took such great care of our baby and were so friendly every time we came in. I hope you don't need to see them but, if you do, you are in great hands!

Upstate Vet was absolutely amazing. It's hard having to bring/leave your pet for 24/7 care, but the staff was incredible. You can really tell they love doing what they do and care so deeply for the animals and are very empathetic for their owners too. They would update me multiple times a day with calls, texts and pictures! I would 10/10 always recommend Upstate Vet and their awesome staff. Even being short staffed, they worked seamlessly with me and worked around my work schedule so I could always come and visit my baby. My sweet kitty also seemed to really like them. While she obviously didn't love being there, they did everything in their power to make her comfortable and entertained while staying there. They even gave her an iPad to play on (and she's an iPad kid). I truly appreciate everything they did for me and my cat.
