Richard A. Edelson, MD, PhD, FACC, is a cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and his PhD in biological chemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, where he also served his internship and residency in internal medicine and completed a fellowship in cardiology. Dr. Edelson is board certified in cardiovascular disease and currently serves at the medical director of Nuclear Medicine at Prisma Health-Midlands.

If you are looking for a cardiologist please continue on, this doctor is the worst physician I have ever been to. He does not listen. He wrote in my notes stating that I false statements that he did not even know about. I am fighting a lawsuit with him. He is not a pain doctor or does not even know my medical history. He is the worst doctor. Please do not go to this man he does not listen. I tried to explain to him I am allergic to medication and I can not have dye to do a heart cath. He is the most uncaring physician. Do your self a favor and be warned. I give him a one and he does not even deserve that.
