My mom passed on 09-04-2025, I was amazed at the kindness the staff showed to my mother. They were so patient and helpful. I would like to add that the evening before she passed, an awesome team of RN's Kris George RN and Brandon Meade RN went above and beyond making sure she was clean and comfortable. It was so important to my mom to be clean. I was impressed.

I had to bring someone in for a procedure. The medical team was amazing, but Mrs Shawn who checked us in was FANTASTIC! She greeted us with a warm genuine smile, and her bubbly personality made you almost forget a heart procedure was about to occur. She was just perfect for assuaging our fears In a stressful medical situation. Thank you Mrs. Shawn!!!!

An Institution That Has Forgotten What "Care" Means My stay at Prisma Health Heart Hospital was one of the most disgraceful, dehumanizing experiences I have ever had in a medical facility. From start to finish, this place showed that bureaucracy, arrogance, and apathy have completely replaced compassion and professionalism. I was brought in by EMS and left in a corridor of the ER for over seven hours, surrounded by noise and chaos, while my heart condition deteriorated. After that, I was shoved into a side room until they could find me a bed. It took six full days before they finally performed my quintuple bypass surgery. Six days of uncertainty, stress, and pain. To make matters worse, they canceled my first scheduled operation without even having the decency to inform me directly. I only learned about it when my nurse received a short message around 10 a.m. saying the procedure would not be going ahead. This was after I had been finger-pricked every hour, completely shaved from head to toe, and mentally preparing myself for a life-threatening operation. That level of disregard for a human being is unforgivable. The pain management was beyond inadequate, it was cruel. They kept me on the same medication I used at home for degenerative arthritis, as if open-heart surgery required nothing more. The night after the operation, I was in such severe, body-shaking pain that I could barely breathe. I was in tears, begging for relief, and the nurse could only say, "There's nothing I can do." No escalation, no alternative, no compassion, just silence and suffering. Communication from anyone above the nursing staff was virtually nonexistent. Doctors would breeze in, speak in riddles, or not at all. Dr. Stacy Harold Graham, MD, stands out as the most arrogant and dismissive individual I have ever encountered in medicine. When I tried to ask about what had been done in surgery and why I was in so much pain, his exact words were: "We already told you in recovery. If you don't remember, that's your problem." That single sentence captures everything wrong with this hospital, utter contempt for the patient. Then there's the food, a daily insult. In 13 days, not a single meal was correct. Orders were wrong, food arrived cold or missing items entirely, and diabetic restrictions were ignored more than once. For a cardiac hospital, the diet quality was a joke. Prisma Health seems to have forgotten who pays the bills. This is not a charity hospital, it's funded by patients through insurance premiums and out-of-pocket costs. I pay my insurance. I pay my deductibles. Yet I was treated like a burden rather than a paying customer whose life depended on competent care. The nursing staff, to their immense credit, were the only redeeming part of this entire experience. They showed compassion, patience, and professionalism even while working under impossible conditions and poor leadership. They deserve every bit of praise. Everyone above them, administration, management, and physicians, should hang their heads in shame. Prisma Health Heart Hospital is not a place of healing. It is a machine that processes patients, forgets their humanity, and discards them when they no longer fit the schedule. I wouldn't wish what I experienced here on anyone. Avoid this hospital at all costs. Your life may depend on it, but your dignity certainly will not survive it.

My mother was a patient in the Marion Suite room 6466 for two weeks and she received excellent care. The day and night medical teams were very caring and attentive. I understand taking care of people with medical challenges can be difficult both physically and emotionally, but the medical team that was responsible for my mom's medical care , worked as a team, treated each other like family and the treated my mom like she was part of their family. I can't express enough how much I appreciate all of the medical attention she received. Thank you to all the medical professionals at Prisma Health Heart Hospital and the medical team in the Marion Suite. XOXOXO

I have to give this hospital and the staff I encountered commendation on the great service. My son's father had a heart attack and had to have a triple bypass performed the staff I encountered, although young in the field and I am a licensed practical nurse and I have been in healthcare for over 30 years they were very knowledgeable and receptive to our concerns and questions. I encountered Molly, Christy and Sammy all RNs and Jackie a PCT. Molly was a sweetheart and a pleasure to talk to you. Cristie was the postop nurse we encountered and she was great. Sammy the postop nurse in the step down unit a new nurse only working a few months as a RN but she was knowledgeable and informative. I also met the RN case manager Ken Butler he is very knowledgeable and he was a great help helping us understand the ramifications of healthcare in South Carolina. Mallorie Moore was the Social Worker and she is knowledgeable and resourceful. The chaplain Gerard Fonte such a pleasure to talk with too. I did not get to meet all the staff but ALL that I encountered was a pleasure. Thank you to the Cardiac Team that saved our loved one (I spoke with the cardiologist, cardiac NP, and the cardiac surgeon) Thank you ALL!
