Went in because for the last 2 1/2 weeks, my feet, ankles and legs were very swollen, tight, hard and painful.
The doctor told me it might be because I am overweight and gave me a referral to a weight-loss clinic. My legs were not like that before and I was still over weight. Heart disease run in my family with my mother. She had stints, quadruple bypass heart surgery and always clots in her legs. Nothing was done to check my legs to make sure no clots and he said I had a heart scan 2 years ago so I would not need another. I said, Doc a lot can change in 2 years.....he said ok we can check. The nearest appointment is October. I should have went to the ER to be treated. I seen my PCP on that Tuesday and she told me to immediately make an appointment with my cardiologist. I got one the next day and was insulted I went.
I will never go back to him and now looking for a new cardiologist and still in pain, swollen, red and tight.

During my visit my care was provided the PA. She was attentive, listened, and explained the results of my echocardiogram. She provided feedback and encouraged me to continue my routine. I felt confident in the care that was provided.
