Dr Khoury is a good doctor but the staff at the office are terrible. They were supposed to set up a stress test and it never happened. When I went back for follow-up she wanted to know why I didn't get the test. The staff was supposed to call me back after this follow-up. Never happened. I moved my care to LMC. Think the world of my new doctor there, Dr Garrett Ruth.
Dr Khoury and her staff at the MUSC Vein Center provide excellent care for all patients. She is empathetic and caring; explains all procedures in advance; and provides thorough post op followup. I readily recommend Dr Khoury to other wound and vein procedure patients!
My experience is Dr. Khoury she is not very passionate. I was accused of being a worrying person. She says that why I was having pain above the site where I had a heart catheterization recently. I am a Christian and I don't worry. I put my trust in the God that I serve. My blood work and CT scan without contrast didn't show any blood in my stomach. Years old at Baptist hospital I had exploratory surgery where Dr. Metropol found 2 liters blood in my stomach. The CT scan or Ultrasound sound that. I told her about that, she said, that wasn't true. Maybe it's not this time. All I know that I am in a lot of pain. She made me seem like I was imagining it, or worrying too much. Maybe there's nothing wrong, but I want to be treated with compassion. I don't have time for pretending. Life is too short. God is good and he's the one I totally depend upon. Doctor's are not like they use to be. That's caring for their patients.
After waiting in the waiting room for 37 minutes for a scheduled appointment and then waited in the examination room for an hour, Norma Khoury never came in. I walked out and I never received a phone call or an apology from her for the unprofessional behavior. But if you're 15 minutes late, they will classify you as a no-show.
