Medical Group of RI: Raimondo Thomas J DO

There is no better Dr than Dr Raimondo. He sits with you, talks to you, learns about your family and is so current with his medical practices He often runs late, Sometimes a couple hours late Which is quite annoying, But he is actually worth the wait.

I hate the wait, I always go to my appointments a couple of hours late and still wait. But Dr. Raimondo is a great doctor and will spend all the time you need with him. I wouldn't switch doctors but it's just the wait, it's ridiculous

Dr. Raimondo is a specialist who agreed to be my primary care doctor over ten years ago. I probably should have found someone else after the first couple of appointments though because you definitely will have a four to five hour wait every time you go. Also don't ever get sick and try to call for an appointment because they refuse to call you back even if you leave 20 messages on their phone. I used to live less than a quarter of a mile from the office so I would have to go in person every time I needed an appointment. Please don't wait for your prescription to be called in because you will die at home waiting for it, so I also had to go in person when I needed a refill. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because I liked Dr. Raimondo, he was very thorough and would spend a lot of time with you asking questions and ordering tests if needed. Make sure you have the appointment for your results though because even if something shows up on a test you won't get a phone call. The office staff is a terrible joke, they honestly don't care about you and they can be very rude when they want to and the doctor won't listen if you tell him. They really need to stop being greedy and booking three people for the same time, because when a doctor spends forty minutes or so on each patient and books triple appointments that's why the long long long waits. Not worth it. He listens to you, but is not respectful of other patients time. Expect to wait for multiple hours before being put in a room and then wait more time before he gets to you. He's thourough in his history but the lack of time management isn't worth the skill. Saw him 1 time for initial consult (waited 2+hours in the waiting room and another 45m to an hour after being in the room). For my follow up waited 3 hours before asking for my results and leaving. Greatful he helped me get my CPAP back, but not worth 4+hour waits.

He is an excellent doctor, HOWEVER if you like your time to be wasted then this is the right spot. First time I was there I had a 5:30 apt, I was not even seen until after 11pm, my phone died and my wife was so worried she was calling hospitals to see if I was brought in from a car wreck or something. I gave him many other chances and it was always the same, the receptionis told me once "oh ill write you down for 3:30 and just come in for 6pm" The place is nutty. Just go to a real pulmonologist office that can actuall keep a schedule, people's time is valueable, I should write this guy a bill for all the time he has wasted.
