I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Cava. He was excellent in every way. Good bedside manners, easy to talk to, listened to me, explained things very well and definitely not a pill pusher. Staff was excellent also. Highly recommend this doctor and practice.
Completely disrespectful and dismissive of patients- hung up on me as I am concerned of getting the right care now that my medical records has immature information due to him. When I initially got a heart monitor I ended up in ER with appendicitis in Jan, so didn't wear it as it's not accurate and in the ER for 3 days. I was bedridden for another week- they were informed. I've been dealing with heart issues and symptoms since having long covid. Everyone knows Covid can cause many issues related to the heart. I got Covid again recently for the 3rd time. Finally had a second one approved and it wasn't working half the time. I asked them and told them about it/ dropped the monitor off directly because of it and not recording I had it on for 7 days! The cardiologist hung up on me and wouldn't let me finish asking questions as now it's all on my medical records and inaccurate information. Completely disrespectful and awful! They don't care about patients
I went to this doctor because, at 71 years of age, I wanted an overall picture of the condition of my heart. I didn't want to be confronted with any adverse surprises down the road that I could have taken care of. I knew the particular tests I wanted going into my first visit (I didn't discuss them with the doctor initially. I wanted to see if we were 'on the same page', so to speak.) After a focused examination and discussion, the doctor prescribed the tests I wanted. I told him we were on the same page. When the results came back, the doctor took the time to explain the results of each test, what they meant for my future health. He went over my blood work, explaining each outcome. Before I go to any doctor I always like to educate myself. No, I'm not one of those people who think they have every disease in the book and self diagnose. But I want to be able to understand and ask intelligent questions. That is to my benefit and it makes the doctor's work a lot easier. Plus, the heart is not as much a mystery to me because my father worked in Cardiology. BUT, I'm not a doctor and not qualified to diagnose. The good news is my heart is in excellent shape. I was very relieved and walked out of the doctor's office today very happy. I highly recommend Dr. Cava. His communication skills are excellent, he doesn't 'over-treat', his suggestions for plans going forward were reasonable. Very happy to have been in his care.
The worse telehealth visit ever, provider did not have any compassion for my loved one, patience or bedside manner. The manner in which he spoke was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and when called out on it stated if "I don't like it, he will hang up so I can make complaint" would give no stars if that was an option available to give a review. I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and all health care professionals are worn out but that gives no excuse to treat a patient the way he did.
