I saw Dr. Mcgunigal for the first time for an emg. He was very pleasant and thorough in how the test would be performed. He made me feel very comfortable, even playing my favorite music on his phone while performing the test. I would highly recommend him! I'd also like to state that his receptionist was very kind and inviting too.
I TYPICALLY DONT CARE FOR DOCTORS ....BUT MY MOM HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DOC & I WAS SURPRISINGLY IMPRESSED .. BY HIS WELCOMING NATURE, HIS OBVIOUS VAST MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE , HONESTLY , I WAS IMPRESSED BY HIS OVERALL HUMANITY....HE MADE MOM FEEL COMFORTABLE, HE TOOK HIS TIME, HE WELCOMED COMMENTS & QUESTIONS ...HE IS DEFINITELY IN A CLASS BY HIMSELF & ABOVE & BEYOND BETTER THEN THE REST !!!
I am posting this review on my wife's behalf.. She had an appt w the Dr today. He was fantastic! He spent an hour and a half with us...His testing was very thorough and explained each step as he performed it. He made her feel very at ease and was very personable. At the conclusion of the testing, he called in his findings directly in our presence. I would highly recommend.
Dr. McGunigal is an exceptional physician! He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and empathetic to those who are sensitive to needles, my self included in that group . I would recommend him to anyone that requires an EMG.
I have had emgs before and never had it hurt like this. This dr doesn't say when he is going to stick you he just does it and his bed side manner stinks. At least say ok deep breath here comes the pinch or something. The secretary was wonderful. Very plesant and kind.
