I was 37 years old when I was told that I had to have Quadruple by-pass surgery. Dr Scollan and all the nurses were incredible. I had an ablation procedure on May 15th. Dr Scollan has been my Dr for a few years and he did my surgery. I can't say enough about him. I have dealt with a lot of Doctors in my 74 years but he is 2nd too none. Thank you for everything.
On April 1, 2023, I started a course of several heart attacks with severe pain thinking it was something else. On April 16 at the ER I found I had severe heart failure range damage. April 17 a catheterization by Dr. Koslow, finding I needed open heart surgery due to a huge blockage. Dr. Uday Dasika (a billiant, well spoken, compassionate, detailed surgeon) performed robotic bypass surgery April 19. I was discharged April 22 at noon ; it's now the 24th and I'm feeling great. If it wasn't for Tower Health I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else for cardiac care. I am simply amazed at the timeliness and accelerated recovery. I went to the right place and am thankful for Tower Health Cardiology.
I would not be alive today but for the cardiologists at Tower Health. They figured out what was wrong, a birth defect with my mitral value, then repaired it. They also treated an irregular heartbeat and a flutter. The doctors listened to my concerns and helped me get back onto my bicycle in less than 4 weeks. They also allowed me to get off of most of the stronger medications as quickly as possible.
My cardiologist, Dr. Macciocca, is by far one of the best doctors I've ever seen. This man changed my life for the best; he and this entire staff are professional and courteous. You feel like they know and remember you and your situation personally, and that your individual needs/situation matter.
