Dr. Katz's clinical interests include general cardiology, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease, and utilizing echocardiography in catheter-based treatment of valvular heart disease. I have known Dr. Katz personally and professionally for over 20 years. He has seen me on several occasions because my concern is that heart issues are prevalent in my father's family. Dr. Katz is both empathetic and diagnostically astute, and explains his findings clearly to the patient.

UPMC heart institute is great so thankful that Dr Katz is my doctor he doesn't rush you and is very thorough- I have seen Dr Katz for years for atrial fibrillations snd hypertension. Dr. Katz comes highly recommended .
Parking is awful. I drive a truck and there is nowhere to park besides Montifore. Signs point to a garage for over size vehicles and it's limited to lease holders.... Dr. Katz is the best!!!! I have only good things to say about this man.
