Pennsylvania Heart and Vascular Group at Jefferson Health

I have visited this office three times so far and have had only positive experiences and interactions. Kudos to the staff for being pleasant and informative. Dr. Mattleman is an attentive listener, addresses concerns thoughtfully and is willing to discuss alternative ideas and medications, side effects and further steps. Parking for this office is convenient, as is the location, both of which reduce stress. Thanks to all for their good work.

My appointment was set for 10:30am. I was 15 minutes early. When I finally went up at 11:15am to ask what was happening, the response was "have a seat and we will be with you as soon as we can". I said, "I will need to reschedule and can they somehow confirm that I would be seen within 15 minutes of the appointment time? Sorry, they said. Cannot do that. I got my co-pay back and left the facility. I should have known something was wrong with all those doctors in one practice. Just a number. No customer service, whatsoever, and no one cared that I just sat there for 45 minutes. Won't be back.

This group of Doctors and their staff are amazing. They are kind, compassionate and most importantly they are very skilled! They saved my life. I had an undiagnosed heart arrythmia, which would cause me to faint (heart stopped). I would regain consciousness quickly and upon seeing doctors they insisted it was "in my head" or to get a psych consult for anxiety. I landed in the ER and almost dismissed again. Just as I'm being told I'm discharged and to follow up with psych I fainted again. Finally it was witnessed and was still plugged into heart monitors. I spent 8 days in ICU. Dr. Rodger Marincheck was amazing. He was so thorough and persistent in finding the real cause. He found I have a arrythmia in my ventricle system which is lethal. He got me into a life vest then implanted a defibrillator. He monitered my medication and treated me like I was family. His team (Mrs. Nona, Mrs. Kathy) EVERYONE are amazing. I highly recommend their care. I've sent several people there and all were happy with treatment. They even allowed my teenage (its not a pediatric center) to be checked since it can be hereditary. Dr. Checked my sisters too and found that my 1 sister does have a similar issue. In my opinion and after being told it's in my head by many professionals, I have to say PH&V group saved my life and continue to keep me going. Because of them I am alive today.

I wanted to get a Doctor's note for a surgery from one of the cardiologist and had to call the office 5 times.The staff was very very rude.I wish I could give them no stars.They should work on customer service skills and should be given appropriate training. Staff at the front desk just hung up on me for asking when I could get the note.
