Patient
Doctor Amin is an outstanding and knowledgeable physician, BUT interacting with ALICE GOLDENBERG in his office, is another situation. For a multi-million dollar cardiology practice in a palatial, high -rise medical office building, decorated with antique furniture, my interaction with Miss Goldenberg, mere days before a round of medical testing, left me with a true question of the business ethics of this thriving practice. Having received a demand letter for up front payment, despite having full MEDICARE coverage, mere days before the procedures, and no mechanism in place to be interviewed by a case manager or social worker, to reveal my financial situation, and arrange payments after the customary billing of MEDICARE first, left me untested, and no where to go. I am both a stroke and prostrate cancer patient, and to be ambushed with this demand letter by Miss Goldenberg, to pay for a nuclear isotope, clearly covered by MEDICARE for this LEXISCAN procedure, certainly shows an indifference by a healthcare worker of Dr. Amin's practice, to patients who are willing to make installment payments post-procedure.
