Extremely professional, informative, and thorough. I saw Dr. Chang for a second opinion at the request of a different surgeon and I feel Dr. Chang was more willing to engage in a discussion and present options, which I appreciated immensely.
More often than people may realize, medical decisions are not clear cut. Dr. Chang presented me with options that made me feel listened to and in charge, yet he was also very clear with his guidance and preference. I asked him several very direct questions and he provided in depth answers.
My reason to see Dr. Chang is a bit of an obscure / low incidence matter, and ultimately even if we do decide on surgery it likely will not resolve continuous pain I am experiencing. And he was very clear on this and with all expectations. I've had experiences with doctors that have been far less upfront and it can be very disappointing so again, I very much appreciate Dr. Chang's approach.
Having seen two other thoracic surgeons for this matter, I was blown away by Dr. Chang and his honesty, depth of knowledge, and willingness to answer questions that were not fully within the scope of the visit's subject. While I hope to not have surgery, I feel very comfortable with this doctor if it is needed.
