Before relocating to Salem, Dr Schumacher provided vascular care in the Northwest for many years. His education took him across the southern United States; earning his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, then interning and performing his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and his fellowship with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He enjoys establishing relationships with patients that center on trust, education and personalized care; keeping patients well informed with open communication and creating treatment plans tailored to each individual. He grew up in the Southwest and is married with five children.

Dr Paul Schumacher is the very best. Skilled competent and has genuine concern for his patients. We use to travel 2.5 hrs to Eugene but now drive 3.5 hrs to Salem since he moved. I would drive twice that far to see him. He is in a league of his own.
