Mattie E Towle, MD

I have been seeing Doctor Towle for several years as my PCP and I have never felt more safe and comfortable with a doctor. She has never hesitate to get the testing and work done that I have needed and to be CERTAIN that I was healthy, has taken my mental health very seriously, and has been consistent over the years. She is kind & authentically caring,, but also straight forward and won't coddle you if things are serious and won't just tell you what you want to hear. It is clear that she takes both physical and mental health seriously. If you are sensitive then you might take her the wrong way sometimes but I truly and deeply appreciate the fact that she is honest with me and what she believes that I need. She helped me to get my life on the right path and I will be forever grateful for that.

Dr. Towle is a really kind and considerate doctor. She made my first pap smear a really easy and comfortable experience. She's super open and knowledgeable about women's health and I always look forward to seeing her. I truly feel like she's looking out for me as a patient :)

Mattie Towle is dismissive. She accussed me of supplying misinformation. She was annoyed at being called after hours and stated I should have called earlier in the day. Oddly, my symptoms weren't there when she would have preferred. Sorry Mattie. According to a lovely doctor from urgent care and a vascular specialist there was a deduction that I had a possible nicked artery during some routine blood work. They advised me to keep an eye on it. The pain became worse over the course of the week. To be safe, I called urgent care. They connected me with Mattie. She disputed what I was told and then threatened to record my refusal to go to the ER in the event there was a blood clot or something else wrong. So, tell me, what choice is there at that point? You must go in the event you have some one like her trying to cover her ass. None of this would have occurred had it not been for poor phlebotomy work. Either way, Mattie Towle was unwilling to consider that her professional opinion was less than the optimum. Arrogant is the only word I can supply to describe her. She does not give justice to the great medical community in Bend.

Mattie Towle is the most incompetent doctor I've yet to see about my ongoing condition. I specifically went to her to get advice about nutrition (crossed off poor diet on the list), yet during the appointment she told me my nutrition was "my problem." And thats it. Incredibly rude and dismissive. She kept telling me I could have it so much worse and told random personal anecdotes about her weird cousin . I do not recommend seeing this doctor unless you want to wASTE TIME AND FEEL BELITTLED!!!!!!
