Gerda Tapelband is an AWESOME Dr !! I moved from Bend over 10 yrs ago and I haven't had a Dr like her since. She is the Best & I miss her very much! I don't believe the one star review . I think they just didn't hear what they wanted to hear . She is very thorough and she took time to explain things.
I thought Dr. Tapelband was attentive, caring, & really took the time to listen. I am a former patient. I happened to see the 1 star review. I can say that wasn't my experience. I think the patient may not have a clear understand about everything. There's many people who have the same diseases, but many mitigating factors that can effect how & why they contracted them. Sometimes symptoms & cauaes are the same & quite apparent & other times they're extremely difficult to find. This is where a specialist can come into the picture. The best doctors cant always tell you the exact reasons for your condition. This is why they refer you to another doctor. I'm sure Dr. Tapelband did everything for the patient, & in the patients best interest. Jamey J. P.S. I'm not in the health care industry, or any medically related businesses, but I'm a doctors son. I have spent thousands of hours in hospitals & doctors offices. I remember that even the best doctors at the top of their field weren't hesitant to ask for feedback/2nd opinions. I thought Dr. Tapelband is a great Doctor!
After I was given a diagnose I still felt as though something was wrong, and she refused to listen to me, and said there was nothing else she could do for me, and I had to seek a second opinion that confirmed that I had other health issues in addition to the ones she diagnosed me with. *I am not the one who actually saw this doctor, my mom was, and the above is in own words*
