I have been facing uncontrolled hypertension and was told I would have a nurse practitioner monitoring me closely and have yet to here a response in 3 days with theee messages. I have been to emergency twice and found out since so was taking Indapimide (water pill) I have developed near kidney failure and low potassium levels. My GP Dr Vickram Sahota has been trying his best to navigate this for me but when you are referred to a cardiologist- specialist you would expect they would have some say in monitoring my situation. He is an amazing doctor I have to say, always there to make time for you when you need it. This situation above echos patient abandonment and now seeking care elsewhere because of the lack of support and follow through.
