Patient
Use anyone else!!! Lisa Johnston, the nurse practitioner with whom I had my appointment, basically accusing me of lying because when she "googled" mychart (I am assuming she meant using OCR text recognition) failed to find the term "infarction" as it is abbreviated. When I found the result and emailed it to her superiors along with a complaint, they ignored everything. While it is understood that most people (including myself) do not speak the "medical language" we do not enjoy being dismissed by providers. From that point forward in the appointment, she was dismissive and very rude, even though I was just scared and trying to ask questions and for clarification. She literally told me to stop talking when I asked to please explain the specific enzyme she kept mentioning. At that point I teared up and told her that I was (and am still) scared of/for my heart health and just really need to understand and guidance. Instead of remembering to be humane, she was just as snarky and dismissive. At that point I stopped listening and engaging as I knew she had not listened or cared. I had very much looked forward to seeing a cardiologist as having a stroke at 43 is very scary and finally seeing a "professional" was hopefully going to lessen my fears. Instead, I left their office in tears with an elevated heart rate. Shame on her for the bedside manner of a snake and the compassion of a mongoose. Obviously, I have no desire to ever return to any of their clinics, I do, however, want you all to be aware of this person and their clinics and their lack of professionalism and due diligence, she acts in bad faith towards patients. Save yourself from being dismissed and find another provider as they do not care and clearly even their higher-ups do not either.
