Patient
Dr. Kamran Muhammad, bet dismissive is you are obese or have a past smoking-history. Will advise anyone I see not to go to this provider. He put me at an increased risk of having a major stroke. I was first seen after I had a TIA in August of 2024. Had my appointment, which seemed like he was more concerned with his nurses than his patients. I had already had a bubble study which showed a PFO. I was told I didn't have a real stroke, which I'm knowledgeable enough to know that factually and medically is true. I described the event and was told I had experienced a migraine, which I do have a history of. At this time he said I was fat needed to lose weight, my issues were from this and having a prior smoking history. and my symptoms would resolve. Went ahead with the pre-procedure testing. The doctor who performed the TEE, informed my husband that I had a PFO with ASA(atrial septal aneurysm) and that I shouldn't me sleeping on my back with my arms up as that was a dangerous position with my diagnoses. After this test Dr Muhammad still stated I giant need the PFO closure/ ASA REPAIR. Not long after this appointment I started noticing an increased in trouble breathing and experiencing more O2 data in the low 80's, this was also brushed off and I was told to follow up with my PCP. After this terrible experience I went after a second opinion, this doctor that has the same expertise and specialty as Dr Muhammad, said with all my symptoms I should have had my closure months ago. He got me scheduled 2 weeks later. Almost 1 year to the date of my TIA. Since my procedure with a competent Doctor, my symptoms have resolved, more energy, fewer migraine days per month, weight loss due to having more energy, no air hunger, better concentration, I'm now not at risk of losing my job due to productivity from inability to concentrate from lack of blood flow. Is I could give negative 5 stars I would!!
