Not thrilled with the appointments as of late. Why bother scheduling appointments if your staff can't follow them?? I've been sitting in my exam room for over 30 minutes past my appointment time. But yet, if I'm more than 5 minutes late, I get billed and they'll cancel/reschedule me? That's some serious bs. Insurance and patients need to hold these doctors accountable in situations like this.

Well first I had some heart issues and had to get a pacemaker put in and that DR Muhammad Shaban Do, and don't be fooled by youthful boyish look the man knows his job very well and did an outstanding job and the staff that took care of me went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible and they succeeded with flying colors and I'm really sorry I can't remember the names of the staff that took care of me but I would like to thank each and every one on that floor well two to two and a half weeks later i had another incident where I had to be readmitted and was assigned room 4425 and again the staff went above and beyond to make sure my issues were addressed and taken care of got my meds corrected and made sure I had all information needed to live a long life I would really like to say thank you to everyone in the heart hospital weather they help me or someone else because I'm sure everyone on that floor has the compassion of a saint because that's what I experienced and it was very comforting to know you are in hands of the best at their profession. I couldn't find one thing wrong during any of my stays Dr Patel thank you for opening my eyes and Tulsa Heart hospital at St Francis a job well done and you all should be proud. And again I am very sorry for not remembering all of your names and with that god bless all of you Tulsa heart hospital at Saint Francis.

Holly the "new" receptionist is the main reason for this review. We have never had any bad experiences with St. Francis until we had the pleasure of having Holly call to verify the appointment. Holly called yesterday at approximately 8:15am to confirm my mother's appointment. When asking a few questions her tone got short, I put my mother on the phone as she had a couple more questions, Holly had a rude, hateful, and disrespectful tone towards my mother. She wouldn't let my mother finish a sentence, cutting her off, raising her voice and yelling at her. When my mom started crying asking to talk to someone else, their excuse was, oh I'm sorry she's new. Fast forward to this morning, we encountered Holly again. My mother asked her if she's the one who called her, she responded yes, my mother told her she was a little rude on the phone, she then laughed and said yeah that was me. As we were sitting in the waiting room waiting for my mother's name to be called, I could hear Holly running her mouth about my mother at the front desk. I advised my mother to go up to the front desk and remind them of HIPPA! YOU CAN NOT BE TALKING ABOUT ANY PATIENT IN AN OPEN SPACE! I don't know why a front desk receptionist isn't held to the same standard of care as nursing staff is! I did speak with a clinic manager, who assured me it would be dealt with, however want everyone to beware of this girl. In the healthcare industry if I were to verbally abuse (and yes that's what she did, verbally abuse my elderly mother!) I would have my license revoked! I am not okay with the way my mother was treated.

I cannot say enough good things about my recent experience with the outpatient care I experienced at St Francis Heart Hospital. I arrived, as requested, an hour before my procedure. They immediately took me back, did all the prep work and took me in for my scans. We were actually walking back to our car at my scheduled time for the scans! Today I went back for an echocardiogram and the same thing happened again. I was to arrive 20 minutes before my appointment. They took me right back and I was back in my car 30 minutes later. Super friendly and professional!

All in all, we had a great experience and my loved one who needed open heart surgery is now recovering well. I took two stars away because of the excessively bad experience we had with a surgical ICU nurse named Kim who was, in the immortal words of Jean Ralphio, "the wOoOorst!" Nurses nationwide are overworked, underappreciated, and physically assaulted daily, so I tend to give them a wide latitude. I don't need a standup routine when they check in on a patient--heck, I don't even really need conversation. Just professionalism, which means a neutral interaction at bare minimum, especially with patients who are scared and facing their mortality. Not Kim. Kim seemed to go out of her way to be condescending, rude, and unhelpful for the duration of the (thank God) one shift where she was assigned to my loved one. She went so out of her way to be condescending that she even talked crap about a doctor at Saint Francis South, said traveling nurses don't know what they're doing, and complained constantly about how busy she was. And Saint Francis knows it, because other staff (who I will protect with my life) acknowledged her... demeanor... when we asked them if she was always like that or if it was just a special treat for our family. If you are in the Heart Hospital and assigned a Nurse Kim (her first name), ask for ANYONE ELSE!
