I have hypertension and was looking for a way to monitor my blood pressure as I've been unable to monitor it with any automatic bp device and I've tried several. My PCP prescribes my bp med and she wants me to monitor it at least weekly. I explained this to Dr. Hayes and she was condescending, dismissive and I had to rush out to cry. She acted as if this didn't warrant a visit and very rudely informed me that she couldn't fix my bp monitor. I was appalled. I was seeking an alternative! I've also been having heart palpitations but we didn't get to that. She probably would've asked me what I expect her to do about it. Unbelievable.
This was after waiting an hour past my appointment time so I was flabbergasted by her being rude and dismissive! Honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor and most certainly with a female physician! They're usually wonderful!
I cannot recommend Dr. Hays.

IF YOU WANT SOMEONE TO ATTACK YOU AND BULLY YOU AND MAKE YOU SOMEONE ELSE "ANYONE ELSE"s PROBLEM THEN GO TO HER!!!!!!!!!!
NOT friendly NOT caring and made me feel completely attacked and BULLIED ME!!!!!!!!!
BECAUSE I have autoimmune conditions, she said word for word "THIS is your life now. You're going to have to learn to deal with it" when I told her that I've been having moments where I've felt like I'm going to pass out and when this happens it's been during moments where I'm playing PlayStation, having a nice conversation with my child or mother, when I'm sleeping and get up to go to the bathroom, and EVERY time this happens, my blood pressure is up super high and I run 120/80 on a daily basis and it NEVER goes up except for these instances and it's ALWAYS during a relaxed moment!!!!! It didn't even happen when I was talking to her and I was VERY VERY upset!!!!!!! My rheumatologist sent me there!!!!!!!!! IF it was autoimmune related, WHY WOULD SHE HAVE SENT ME?! It's ALSO a low blow (I think) to my rheumatologist (who I absolutely adore!!! Shawna Seelbach) making it seem like SHE doesn't know what SHES talking about!!!!! She's one of the best drs I've ever had!!! She DOES care!
How are you supposed to take a Dr saying "THIS is your life now you're going to have to learn to deal with it" but really though!!!!! I was UPSET- OBVIOUSLY- because it felt like "I don't really care, I'm NOT going to give you compassion and DO MY JOB, let's just tell you that you have to deal with feeling like you're going to hit the floor" KEEP IN MIND I TOLD HER EVERY TIME I GET LIKE THAT I END UP IN THE ER BECAUSE I SEE SPOTS, GET SWEATY AND EXTREME WEAKNESS and it comes WHAM out of NOWHERE AND SHE HAD BEEN TOLD AND IT WAS IN MY CHART THAT MY MOTHER HAS HAD A TRIPLE BYPASS OPEN HEART SO HEART ISSUES RUN IN MY FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEN "BECAUSE" I got upset (how could you NOT) she tells me "oh THIS is CLEARLY psychological!!!!! Look at how upset you are!!!!! This is ALL psychological!!!!!!" And LAUGHED AND KEPT SAYING IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very appreciative of Dr. Hays, Brenda and Alize. They were all very attentive and thorough with my mom's history. We had been waiting a while and my mom had to use the bathroom as Dr. Hays was coming in to see my mom. Dr. Hays didn't rush my mom and allowed her time to use the bathroom before evaluating her. That small act of kindness goes a long ways.

I will not recommend her at all. She did not listen to my daughter when my daughter tried telling what her symptoms were. She pretty much diagnosed prematurely, ordered a heart monitor 'since you're still complaining'. Been 4 months or better and still haven't heard nothing from her. My daughter has tried calling several times and her calls have been ignored. They also have my number in case they can not reach her since she is in a dead zone most of the time and I have NEVER received a call either. Will be taking her elsewhere. Guaranteed my insurance paid for service my daughter did not get 100% of.

I've seen her twice now since moving from California. She actually listens to what I have to say and believes what I tell her. This is something I haven't experienced in quite a while. In California they seem to just want to herd you through like cattle and either don't want to assist you properly, or most likely don't have the time to do so. I appreciate their willingness to help me.
