Asim Chohan, MD

I've been a patient of Dr. Chohan for four or five years. I see him twice a year now. When I first came to see him, I was having random chest pain and palpitations and various other heart issues. He is always so caring and engaging and takes whatever time is needed to access the problem. He put me on some medication and every time I go in he would continue to monitor what the new medication had done over the past months. The last time I was there I told him I was really starting to feel better over the past months than I had in months. He said overall my heart is better. I was very happy to hear that. He stayed focused on the problem one appointment at a time until he found the exact problem and fixed my individual problem. I have a lot of respect for him and his staff and totally trust him.

As a new patient, my husband and I were extremely satisfied with the efficiency of Dr. Chohan and his staff during our first visit. Dr. Chohan was warm and engaging. He was unhurried as he focused on understanding my husband's extended medical issues. He listened and advised us how he would help hubby monitor his cardiac issues and the support his office would be able to provide.

Dr. Chohan is a very caring physician that is at all times working hard to see that I remain healthy. A few months back after speaking with him, telling him about something that I thought was happening because of my nearing 80 years of age, he recommended an angiogram. That probably, did in my thoughts, saved my life. He found an 80% blockage, a "widow maker," type of blockage. A stent later and I'm back. Back to feeling well and knowing I have several more years to be with family and friends. Dr. Asim is very passionate about his work. My numbers were high and he mentioned it to me. I told him that my doctor knew. His reply was, "Go back." At first I didn't take it to be serious. It was after my second visit for a follow-up months later that I began to look into the risk of high cholesterol, A1c, and our family history. I was told to watch my portion by doc #1, to take cinnamon by doc #2. Three different practitioners didn't see it as urgent, but the tone of frustration in Dr. Asim's voice and expression on his face was a wakeup call to take this serious. I decided that if I wasn't going to work on getting my numbers down, I surely wasn't going to waste his time. Today's visit went great. I appreciate him as well as his friendly staff.
