About Dr. Amy Jo Renfro, APRN-CNP
In the beginning, I didn't choose to go into cardiology, I fell into it. I had a mentor who poured a lot into me. As he poured all this education and these opportunities into me to grow in cardiology, I learned to have a love and passion for it. I love working with patients that have heart failure because we can help them with their fluid balance. We can help to improve the function of the heart. There are different things we utilize to help that improvement, and heart failure happens to be one that's close to my heart. I love working with the patient, and I want them to know that they're the one in charge. I'm just here giving them the information. What motivates me is being able to see the patient progress.
