Ohio State Heart Express Care Outpatient Care New Albany

This location has a lot of different clinics. Having the OSU care far away from the main campus is very nice. The parking lot is large but can get busy during peek times. They do have valet parking. You enter and turn left to the registration desks. Once checked in, you are then instructed to what floor or area you need to go to. I went to the dermatology clinic(3rd floor). The reception desk was right off the elevator, and she was very polite and professional. I was seen quickly, and the doctor and intern were professional. There is a small Cafe on the 1ST floor with seating. The outpatient center is right off 161 freeway. Use the light at Target and go left of that to get to the parking lot

I detest OSU. After just having a terrible experience at another location a few weeks ago, wherein a nurse practitioner who I was establishing new care with opted to make fun of my disposition, I had another awful experience in the urgent care at this facility. This location in particular is staffed by people who simply do not care about their patients. For a visit I pre-scheduled, I was there for almost 2hrs. When I went to the front desk to inquire of the status of my discharge ( about an hour after seeing that my test results had been uploaded to MyChart), the 4 people looked right at me and continued their conversation. I had the audacity to interrupt them, and was subsequently treated for coldly. 10/10, I do not recommend.

I am very concerned about the care my family received at OSU Hospital Urgent Care on August 21, 2025. My 18 month old daughter was handled roughly by a nurse Kim, causing her to choke and vomit. This experience felt unsafe and unprofessional. Young children deserve compassionate, respectful, and safe care. I hope the hospital addresses this.

I recently accompanied my wife to the Ohio State University Outpatient Care Center in New Albany for a procedure, and our experience was nothing short of disgraceful. At every other medical facility we've visited, I've been allowed to accompany her to the preoperative area--a basic courtesy that allows spouses and loved ones to support each other, ask critical medical questions, and stay informed. Not here. At OSU New Albany, I was rudely dismissed when I requested to go back with her. No explanation, no compassion. The nurse who turned me away did so with the kind of bureaucratic indifference you'd expect from someone just punching a clock. It felt less like a professional medical environment and more like I was dealing with a unionized DMV clerk. They treated me like I was just a chauffeur instead of a concerned husband wanting to ensure his wife was well cared for and to speak directly with the anesthesiologist and proceduralist. That opportunity was denied. No discussion, no option, no respect. If this is the level of patient and family care OSU considers acceptable, they've seriously lost touch with what it means to practice compassionate holistic medicine. It's not just about the person on the table--it's about the loved ones who are impacted, too. Shame on OSU for prioritizing rigid, impersonal policies over human decency and empathy.
