Patient
UPDATE to my review. As you can see ProMedica left a response to my review which includes a phone number for me to respond to. I have attempted to reach someone at that number on 6 occasions over two weeks, I left a message each and every time that included my name and phone number, but, there has been no return call from ProMedica. Their patient relations department must have gone to the same school as their Cardiologist and Staffers. They have no concerns for me and my heath since the death of my long time Cardiologist, it appears to me money is the only motivation. Now here's my original review. I was a patient of NWOCC then ProMedica for 25 plus years. I showed up Jan, 2025 for my annual exam with my Cardiologist of 25 plus years, but he never came in to see me. The NP then ordered some testing and rescheduled an appointment with my Cardiologist. At my third appointment they notified me that my Cardiologist died prior to any of my appointments. As I sat there somewhat stunned, a replacement Cardiologist came in and told me that I needed a procedure ASAP. As I was trying to absorb my Cardiologist of 25 plus years being dead and them now wanting to perform a procedure on me, I started asking some questions only to have the new Cardiologist tell me that my concerns didn't matter. What!!! My Cardiologist of 25 plus years had told me yearly that there were no issues to be concerned with but now the new guy wants me on the table ASAP. After getting a second opinion, I found out it was not necessary to perform any procedures ASAP. As if all this was not enough, after calling ProMedica at least 20-30 times trying to get someone on the phone who could answer my questions and asking them to have my bill corrected for all the mistakes, they stood fast and demanded their money for a Cardiologist visit that never happened, and a diagnosis and recommended procedure that was questionable at best. Is it solely about the money? After 6 months of me trying to reason with them it came down to them saying "pay the money." Money for this debacle or they would turn it over to collection and destroy my credit rating." Way to go ProMedica, they're absolutely NOT there when you need them to be, except for demanding the money .
