My wife & I are both patients. More importantly, Dr. Hussein has professionally and caringly treated my wife for over 25 years--through a number of difficult and complex medical issues--cardiology related and for several other areas. He truly treats the whole patient. He takes the time to listen, educate/explain the conditions and treatment alternatives--many times drawing illustrations and writing out instructions. He is very inclusive and often acts as the "gate-keeper" of her overall health. Following his lead, his staff is similarly responsive and caring.

I take my dad there and could not be happier with Dr. Hussein and his staff. My dad came from Virginia and his previous doctor did not take initiative or time to listen to him but Dr Hussein made positive changes to his medication regimen and took the time to listen and intervene. Dr Hussein is a very caring doctor with a great bedside manner. For 2 years I had been handed off to different doctors because of a breathing issue that everyone said was my lungs but no one. It only took two visits, with the second one being tests, that doctor Hussein discovered the problem was with my heart and I ended up at the University of Michigan hospital getting my tricuspid valve replaced. If it wasn't for his caring manner and diligence in wanting to find out what was going on I very well could have suffered a lot more damage to my heart.
