Kim in his office told me I could not be their patient unless I gave them a credit card "for security purposes", even though I have both primary and secondary insurance. I can't imagine why this is their policy; it isn't the policy of *any* of our other healthcare providers. Seems like I'll have to look for another cardiologist. Edit: I found another cardiologist, who was completely satisfactory, and didn't have such a ridiculous policy. I will *never* patronize Dr. Shailesh.

Dr. Patel Is and will always be considered the worst Cardiologist in the City of Columbus (in my Opinion). I would not recommend this doctor to treat my worst enemy. My father is 92 years old; the last hospital visit I requested a second opinion. Then due to my father miss an appointment, he kicked my father out of his practice. I have always felt as a minority -that his office treated my parent different. I should have pull them out of the practice years ago. The only reason Dr. Patel kicked my Dad out of his practice, is because of me. I ask question and if I want a second opinion, I ask for a second opinion. Then he told my mother that she was going to die, in November. My mom is extremely sick, but she is still living. Dr. Patel-did not know what he was doing when it came to my mom's rare disease Pulmonary Hypertension. He should have said -that was not his specialty. They changed, my mother's medicine ill and she has been doing good. Now she is a sick lady. Do not let these doctors tell your parent when they are going to die. My mom almost died dwelling on what Dr. Patel said. It was cold and calculated. He could have told me first then I would have told him not to say it in the manner that he did. Please be sure to request a second opinion. When you feel it to be necessary. Then he kicked my mom out if his practice. Do play God with people's lives. Other issues you will sit in his office waiting to be seen by Dr. Patel, bring a lunch. They have this nurse practitioner, insist on these tests and other incidental so they can charge your insurance or you. I really don't think he like black people, especially if you know how to question some decisions. This review is based on my opinion and my experience with this office. This office surely showed me that there is a true disparity in healthcare as it relates to Minorities. This is the perfect example. Minority beware...... Sheila Eubanks
