Dr. Hummel, his staff and all the people who I have encountered at the Ross Heart Hospital at OSU are simply lovely. They all are knowledgeable, go above and beyond and are very efficient. My surgery and visits have been as good an experience as I could expect. I was well cared for and felt like they really were there to make their patients comfortable given the circumstances. It was easier to not worry when someone was always engaging and explaining what was going on and what would happen next. I highly recommend Dr. Hummel and his associates if you have heart concerns.

My first experience with OSU began in 2013. I received treatment for cancer related issues and eventually had my esophagus Removed. My second treatment was later for gall bladder removal. The third treatment was for an Ablation. This time an ablation follow-up and The Watchman procedure was performed. I can't imagine receiving better treatment at any other facility. Everyone on the OSU Staff was extremely knowledgeable, and caring. I feel like they have been a part of my family. Dr. Hummel was very thorough and informative concerning the most recent Ablation and Watchman procedures. I'm satisfied I won't have further issues, but I know that if I do The OSU Staff will provide me Athens the best care available.

Dr Hummel was attentive, asked and answered my questions. Gave me a full report on my CT scan. All of the staff in that unit were friendly, kind and came immediately when called, professional in all duties.

The team was very courteous and efficient. Dr. Hummel was the consummate professional and most generous with his time and insightful manner. Could not be more pleased with the experience.

Dr. Hummel was very tentative to my case. His clear and understandable info was excellent. Very informative. All staff I met were friendly and professional. The lab could use some additional help as they were very short staffed and backed up.
