Dr. Edward G. Soltesz, MD

Unfortunately our family had an unfortunate experience with this doctor. The surgery went fine but the patient died afterwards due to a major stroke. This doctor refused to speak with us (the family) and we had to use the ombudsman to have a discussion with him. He also refused to tell us the truth about the patient's condition - as the Clinic shipped him off to a hospice facility. An unfortunate experience indeed. We could accept the resulting stroke but the failure of this doctor to report the honest situation to us was unbearable and appalling.

It has been almost 6 years since Dr. Soltesz put my heart back in order with quintuple bypass surgery. Since that time, I have felt completely normal, which is an amazing thing considering my condition when I entered the clinic, July 2018! Dr. Soltesz and his team are excellent care-givers, and I am grateful every day for their expertise. And that goes for the entire Cleveland Clinic staff, as well. Keep up the good work! Dr. Soltesz replaced my whole aorta in 2020. He saved my life and I am forever grateful and honored to have him as my surgeon. He and his team of Dr's., nurses, and hospital staff showed exemplary kindness and professionalism in my surgery and recovery. I met dr. Soltesz when brought to cleveland clinic for heart problem I needed surgery. Dr soltesz took on my case to do my operation. Had surgery on jan. 18th. Thank god! I met him in operating room, spoke briefly. I felt comfortable and trusted him immediately. I was very lucky to have dr. Soltesz as my surgeon. He has a special gift.
