Cristian Baeza, MD, is a senior attending cardiac surgeon and Co-Director of the Aortic Center at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is also a clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Baeza provides comprehensive care for patients with complex aortic diseases. Dr. Baeza saved my life!!! God couldn't have given me the best surgeon. I had an aortic dissection and normally you do not have symptoms. John Ritter the actor died from an aortic dissection. When I went to the ER at Lake West and they did a CT Scan of my chest they found the cause of my symptoms and immediately had to take me to UH Main Campus. I met Dr. Baeza there and explained everything to me. There was a risk in this surgery but I came out of surgery with no complications. I owe my life to Dr. Baeza.
