Patient
I delivered at Fairview in January of 2024, and I truly had an amazing experience. My son's cord had a knot in it, so every time I pushed his vitals dropped. The staff handled this incredibly well and reassured me whenever I was worried. The nurses held my hand during my epidural and talked me through every step. When the epidural didn't work on one side of my body and the team initially told me to give it time, my nurses were my biggest advocates and pushed for it to be fixed. They were also my biggest cheerleaders during delivery. Since it was my doctor's first delivery, I had two doctors in the room, and he did an absolutely wonderful job explaining everything that was happening and keeping me calm and informed. The delivery room was private and clean. After delivery, we moved to another room that was very large, spacious, quiet, and just as clean. The postpartum nurses encouraged me to take care of myself and shared helpful tips and tricks for pain management and making things more comfortable, including how to reduce burning when using the bathroom. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I'm extremely grateful I was able to deliver at Fairview.
