Mercy Health - Austintown Medical Center

Hands down my choice for care in this area (unless it is something they cannot handle) - most especially vs the downtown Mercy Health Hospital. We generally get seen quickly (except if it is super busy). Staff has always been pretty efficient and also really nice. We have got some testing done here as well, and that has gone well generally (though results may not be as thorough as some other places are, like those connected with Cleveland Clinic, but that may very well be due to differences in equipment and overall budgets (Cleveland Clinic is HUGE comparatively) For overall Intermediate Care though, this is ALWAYS where our family goes. This facility also saved my life after getting a severe internal infection due to a surgery that went wrong at the main downtown hospital. They caught the issue and, even after my doctor told them to just have me go home, the Doctor on staff at the time said he felt something was very wrong and wasn't comfortable with that, and then urged for me to be transported to the Main Hospital. That single intervention is the only reason I am here today to even write a review. That singular doctor is the reason my family still has me in their lives. Apparently, my organs were in the early stages of shutting down entirely. If he had not caught that, it would have likely resulted in no more me. They are not perfect, but then all the places in this area are understaffed and underbudgeted, but those working here do a lot with the little they have to work with. And in all the years since that experience, we have always had positive experiences going here when needed.

We, in the Mahoning Valley, are so lucky to have access to Mercy Health - Austintown Medical Center. The staff there, both medical and administrative, are top notch. They treat the patients with great respect. They care about your medical needs equally with your privacy. I've always gotten the tests I needed in a very timely manner, and have seen skilled doctors, who cared about my condition. [... unlike some hospitals in the area where I gave up and went home sometime after eight hours had passed without ever seeing a doctor!] Thank you, Mercy Health, for making this calibre of medical care available in the Valley.

Had to go to their emergency rm. last night. We got right in and the care was excellent. The 2drs. were excellent. My nurse Loren couldn't have been nicer or kinder. My IV she started..... one stick and it was in my arm . Very impressive. Thanks so much.

My husband took me to Mercy Austintown Emergency and I could not have asked for better care. The doctor was thorough, caring, really listened to me and very kind. The male nurse was excellent. The facility was spotless. An ENT on call came to check me out too. I was 100% happy with my care and although there 5 hours, I felt all the Mercy employees cared about my situation and did their very best. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful facility, when you need it the most! Thank you to the whole Mercy team.

The nurses, doctors & staff were so helpful, kind & most generous in all they did yesterday for my little Momma & my Dad too. They were fast, efficient & patient with my Mom. Though she is very sick & had to be transported this morning to Mercy Hospital in Boardman I know Austintown Medical Center did their absolute best for her & I'm not just thankful to them but my Heavenly Father who is watching over my parents. I'm thankful to God for making me aware & getting her to this facility on Friday so she could get the help she needed. May God continue to bless all those who work here.
