NY Family Docs

Deleting reviews is common practice so I'm not surprised. When this practice was under Doctor Bernstein the care and attention to patients health was outstanding. However, imagine not booking an appointment and explicitly telling your doctor you do not need an appointment to go over lab results and the doctor insisting and calling you just so that they can bill you? This was my experience. Not only this, I was forced to pay for services I did not need. Anyway this is no longer my primary doctor as Dr. Paula isn't someone I would recommend. We need more Dr. Bernsteins.

Dr Paula(NP) was very nice. She heard me with extreme attention. As a primary doctor, she ordered a blood work and EKG to check if there are any issues that have to be addressed. She is thorough and sympathetic. I really liked her, and her approach to my health conditions. I recommend her to anyone who needs a good primary doctor. The staff is professional and accommodating.

As a new patient, the process was seamless and quick. Minimal wait time, pleasant staff and I was able to accomplish what I came in for. Natalie is very sweet and attentive. My biggest problem was physically finding the office because their front door is in a parking lot. I would recommend 100% for anyone looking for a PCP in the area.

Overall the experience was a good one but I had one issue. There is a new NP and staff in the office and this may have something to do with it but my wait time was over a half hour, this is unacceptable. There was only a couple of patients being seen so that didn't seem to be impacting the wait. I understand that at times unexpected things can come up that will impact all scheduled appointments thereafter but this information should be communicated to all patients waiting. I am the sole caregiver for my very elderly (94 yrs old) mother and I really do not like leaving her unattended for too long. I select physicians close to home and make appointments that I hope won't take more then 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. In the future I will schedule telemedicine appointments when I have a follow up or if I am not getting a physical to avoid this issue.

My husband and I have been patients here for over 15 years. Very good practice. Lately we've been seeing Natalie Galvez, the nurse practitioner, for our annual checkup and she is very professional, thorough, and kind. Highly recommend!
