They don't give a crap about veterans
They take forever to call you back or schedule anything
Doesn't matter if you're an extreme pain and can't even walk, they'll run you through hoops and make you wait two weeks
Very few employees are actually friendly. I absolutely hate coming here. It's like a jail with extremely unfriendly employees that all act like they hate their lives.
One doctor can recommend something and a nurse can disobey what he wants

The VA has taken care of my overall health case, regime and action . When a part of that health profile was not staffed properly for so I was sent to a specialist in the community. At a cost that I wouldn't have been able to get the VA handled it.

I would absolutely never recommend this place do not leave your loved ones here . They 1000% alllow elder abuse . My husband being a veteran to and my grandpa being here . Knowing what manipulative issues hes gone through and they have allowed . If you havw loved ones here pull them now . Find one that values your loved one and will stand up for them . Do not let the abuse continue . I have complained multiple times they will do nothing .

25 years of my employment life was spent in and around hospitals in various roles. Fargo VA is absolutely the best experience I've had in any hospital! Volunteer's are amazingly helpful, and staff are quick so help and answer questions.
I had a procedure in the Optometry Department and scheduling was a simple process, as was all follow up and I was amazed at how efficient this facility runs! Hope Youngsmith, MD is an excellent eye surgeon too!
Usually I have tremendous anxiety just being in hospitals after my career, and did initially here too; but it disappeared after the first couple of visits! Almost can't wait to go back! :). Thank you Fargo V.A!

80% disabled combat veteran, which means the VA covers my medical coverage for service related issues. They required unnecessary tests when VA provided equipment failed, then billed my private insurance for it without my knowledge or authorization. Then when I received a bill from my insurance company, I called the VA in Fargo for an explanation only to be given the "not my dept" run around. No apologies, no offer to investigate, no resolution. Just a not my problem attitude.
