Cardiology is a very personal field for me, as I have seen the impacts remarkable heart care can have on a patient and a family. My younger brother was born with a heart defect and was not expected to survive his first year. My father suffered from coronary artery disease and required heart surgery when I was young. Because of the quality care they received while I was growing up in Asheville, North Carolina, both my brother and father survived for many years. Seeing that inspired me to pursue a career in cardiology. \n I perform angioplasty and stent procedures, and see patients both in our clinics and local hospitals. For angioplasty and cardiac catherization procedures you cannot do better than have Dr. Wiegman as your cardiologist. Dr. Wiegman saved my life with two well-placed stents. Before, during and after surgery he explained everything, thoroughly professional, answering all my questions. I felt completely at ease and I knew I was in great hands. Dr.Wiegman is highly recommended.
I never feel rushed during my appointments. Dr Wiegman always takes the time to listen to and respond to any questions I have. He is very personable and treats you like a friend as much as he treats you like your physician. His staff is also very responsive whenever I contact his office with medical concerns or questions.
Dr. Wiegman has been my Cardiologist for years. He is kind, compassionate and listens to everything I say. In my opinion, he is the best in North Carolina.
