He was my surgeon for open heart surgery. He came into my room before surgery told me what he was going to do. I asked him multiple times if he was going to hurt my left arm and hand he said no way. Well 6 months later no circulation in hand and arm and his colleges are doing test he should have done before surgery just to cover him. I do not recommended this surgery Coronary artery bypass surgery unless you are ready to lose circulation in your arm. Letting you know because this Dr. Will not tell you. He will lie you to your face. Avoid James Pate ANP his college, Dr. Mark's cover up pupit.

Stop do your research this Dr is not the one to use if you love your love ones. Said he put a bridge from one Artery to another and come to find out he didn't and now after open heart surgery have to go for another stein 6 months later. This Dr will lie to your face.

I don't know how but there used to be more reviews on here and now they are gone. On Jan 28th 2015 my dad died after spending a week in ICU following bypass surgery performed by Dr. Marks. Before the surgery and durning my dads stay in ICU Dr. Marks was so nice, his bedside manor is impeccable. But his attention to detail is non existent and resulted in my dads death. My dad died because he developed Graves' disease because Dr. Marks failed to read my dads health history and see that he had to have his Thyroid Medication everyday so he didn't get it. Once we found out he had Graves' disease we asked about his thyroid medication and his response was "what thyroid medication?" It was CLEARLY written on my dads health history he had to fill out before the surgery. What kind of thoracic surgeon does open heart surgery on a person without reviewing their health history? I work in dental and we don't even touch a patient without having a health history and medication list...and that's just dental. 5 days later, 6 years ago today he died at the young age of 56. I don't know how long this review will be up before it gets taken down again but I just want anyone that is thinking of choosing Dr. Marks as their thoracic surgeon to know my dads story. He was young, and so full of life. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Now he is gone and our family is broken. His name was Fidel Alvarez and he died too soon.

I Lost my twin brother to the widow maker. Two weeks after his death I scheduled a heart catheterization. The same arterie was 99 percent clogged on me and Dr Marks performed emergency triple bypass. This man is a prince and I could not of been happier with his staff and the care I received. 12/20/2023 will be 8 years since surgery and still going strong. Highly recommended

My boyfriend had a rare blood clot and he had everyone puzzled how to get it out after a week dr.marks and his fellow workers come up with a plan and they found more than a blood clot in my boyfriend they found a rare cancer. Dr.marks was the most awesome surgeon he could have had and was honest thru the whole thing. If it wasn't for them thinking about what to do instead of just jumping in I dnt think my boyfriend would be here today but he said he knew smthg wasn't right so they done a different approach. Today makes 3 weeks later and my boyfriend is doing awesome compared what he's been thru. I just want to tell anyone if you can chose to this provider and his staff they are amazing.
