Dr. Allan has over 20 years of experience caring for patients with cardiovascular disorders and diseases. He is only cardiologist in Iredell County inserting the CardioMEMS Heart Failure System. He firmly believes in practicing evidence-based medicine, but also realizes that treatment needs to be specifically tailored to each individual patient's wants and needs. He believes his role as a Cardiologist is not only to be a specialist in preventive medicine and the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases but to also treat each of his patients with the utmost respect and kindness he or she deserves.

This is a terrible place to go. The doctor missed 2 of my first 3 appointments. If you try to call, you have to wait through a five minute message every time, and then you still can't get through and have to leave a message. By my third visit, they still hadn't ordered my records from my last doctor, because they lost the consent form I had signed. And the nurses just don't seem to have any idea what they are doing.
The staff in-person very rarely answers the phone and if they do not answer they will never call back. You just have to keep calling for days until you get someone. They are also incredibly unprofessional and even the doctor is unprofessional and difficult to reach. My medical records were withheld from me for 9 weeks as I called constantly to try and get them sent to both me and the doctor I found to replace Dr Allen. After 9 weeks once I finally got ahold of them, instead of being apologetic and taking accountability for their actions they were rude to me. Definitely not worth the stress especially with the several month wait times. I got my appointment two months out and took off of work for it and then they cancelled it the day before and never answered any calls to reschedule. This is the worst experience I have had with any medical facility ever.
I am posting under my fiances account. My name is Amy Blankenship. I started seeing Dr. Allen in 2020 and drove 4 hours each way to do so at that point in my life. He didn't order unnecessary tests. I done testing. I remember at one point my BP was so high, he had me lay in the bed in his office and kept checking it till it went down. After being told by so many you're young, it's anxiety. He actually listened. Discovered that I have regurgitation of all of my valves (trivial) so he didn't jump and say procedure. He is watching them. Yesterday we found out that I have pulmonary hypertension. He is doing another test to be thorough before starting me on a regimen and I appreciate his time and effort with his patients. He has a great bedside manner. You can tell he doesn't let a title or money go to his head. I give Dr. A and A+.

I got a call today from Dr Allans office cancelling my appointment for the 3rd time. I feel that he doesn't give a damn about the me or anyone for that matter. I will never go back to him and I suggest that no one go to him. The service has been stupid and I hope people listen to this. DO NOT GO TO HIM.
