Excellent doctor! He is professional & personable. Always takes his time with me. Kudos to his office staff from the reception, Kenda to the nurse assistants in the back. I truly trust this team with my life, ( I have a pacemaker 11 years now).

Amazing doctor and surgeon! He took all the time needed to answer every question. He was extremely through and caring through the entire procedure. He showed great compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Englehardt.

He was very dismissive and condescending. I was there with my daughter and without even announcing the test was about to start or verbally asking me to leave he literally waived me off like you would shew a dog to get me to leave the room. He lacks compassion and bedside manner and did nothing to ease the anxiety of the test. He was unable to complete the test, so we left with no answers--again. When we were obviously saddened by another dead-end (after a year of diagnostic tests and dr visits) his response was "geez, just be glad she doesn't have heart disease." And then laughed. Of course, we felt that way, but he did not recognize the frustration of no answers in that moment. He needs to be more empathetic and recognize the emotional toll of long-term illness.

Great doctor and surgeon. 12 years ago, I met with Dr. Englehardt and he explained everything to me about my issue, about the electrical circuitry of the heart and the ICD. (I worked in automating clinical trials in pharma and medical devices). He even showed me the different ICD devices and how technology progressed over the years. I agreed to his advice and surgery that went very well. Dr. Englehardt came to my ward the next day at Wakemed Hospital (if I remember well) to inspect my wound and see how I was doing. For 12 years till now, I was good and had no real issues post operative surgery. I cannot thank this doctor enough for his knowledge, dedication and experience in helping patients like me. Great doctor. I will recommend to anybody even for advice. Ontario, Canada, experience!! - sub standard. My present experience at the Centenary Hospital, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada was so so. Nothing compared to the first surgery. 17 days later and I still feel sore. The wound site seems swollen and discolored. Even the device looks bigger. Post-operative care or examination is ZERO. The only person I met was the arrhythmia specialist. When will these so called specialists and bureaucrats here learn to talk to patients?.. Terrible but free.

Saved my life by referring me out to a specialist at Hopkins for further testing after an amazing correct diagnosis of an extremely dangerous and rare heart condition at 24. One of the nicest doctors I've ever met. Would be my first choice if I still lived in NC. Thanks to an early diagnosis and prevention of progression, I'm doing great 15 years later and hopefully beyond! Can't thank him enough!!!
