Dr Falsone is awesome! I had been a patient of his for several years. I was admitted into the hospital back in December for something other than my heart, and he must have seen my name in the ICU and he came by to visit me. I am totally devastated that my insurance was switched and Dr Falsone is not in it's network! I am so lost without him. I refuse to go to another cardiologist. I will be changing my insurance as soon as I possibly can!
Extremely poor care. Went in for a pacemaker change out(my third one) came out with a double pneumonia and back to the ER. I know that their are risk anytime you go in for surgery. That is not my issue. My issue is how the procedure was done and how UNC Rex and Dr. Falsone handled it, or should I say not handled it. It was the first time I had surgery where the Dr did not see me before the surgery or GET THIS after the surgery. He did not come out to see my wife. It is also the first time that I did not have a anesthesiologist come in before the surgery and speak to me. I believe that DR. Falsone handled the sedation but I am not sure of this.Now as it turns out that during during my procedure I aspirated fluid into my lungs (that information came from the ER Dr). I think what happped is they knew this. Now this is only my opinion as REX said they did a internal review (which I was not part of) and found no wrong doing. The only thing I asked UNC for was to waive my out of pocket expense and they said no. I even had to pay for the ER visit. If you need a Cardiolosist pass on Dr Falsone.
So glad Dr Falsone is my heart doctor! Didn't know how much until I had a heart attack. I was well taken care of after some scary times. I'm home doing so much better! Still here!
Have to respond. this DR. and the UNC team have saved me from being another statistic. God has given them ability to do what they do and they do it very well. my heart well always be "thanks" to Dr. Falsone and the UNC team.
Dr Falsone has done wonders for my A-fib. A really good cardiologist.
