Worst experience ever! What a lazy staff at Reid Heart center. My husband was admitted, absolutely not one word to me from anyone for 2-3 days. Had an endoscopy for bleeding ulcer which was necessary to treat. The staff from nurses to Hospitalist were completely indifferent. I asked that he please be ambulatory prior to discharge. Apparently no orders were scheduled. After 5 days on his back, he asked for assist to walk. Another completely indifferent staff member.. helping him out of bed and walked out of the room. She never even looked at him trying to walk. No one was going to help! They discharged him and I asked if I could help him dress with some help. I was told by an RN wearing a T-Shirt that said " Southern Chick" on it.. nice way to present as an RN.. and her exact words to me were "go for it". A bit difficult when he has IV's inserted everywhere. Never saw the doctor who did the Scope because it was after hours for him, so just ditched. How do you pride yourselves on patient care when there is absolutely none! Not a professional in sight. Disgraceful, Mr. Foster or whoever runs that indifferent, incompetent and completely lazy staff. Had my husband fell ( while sign on his door read HIGH FALL RISK) you would be sued in a hot minute.
